It is home to most of the 5 star resorts along with shopping areas and residential communities. If you are not staying at a resort but wish to visit the beach there is some public access to get you there. It was most recently awarded the clean beach Blue Flag Award. This being the second awarded clean beach in Huatulco. In the middle of Tangolunda Bay is Isla Montosa, in which you can find some good spots for diving. There is a hidden beach on the inside edge of the island where you can find a peaceful shallow swimming area to boat to. Along the Tangolunda Valley is the popular and very impressive 18 hole golf course and is considered one of the best golf courses in Oaxaca.
