Bahia Conejos

Bahias Conejos is located East of Tangolunda and consists of four beaches: Conejos (meaning Rabbits), Punta Arenas, Arena and Tejoncito. The 4 Conejos Bay beaches are excellent for diving, swimming and fishing. Its unique beauty is a high potential for short-term development.

Conejos Beach: Fine sand, white and moderate slope, measuring approximately 500 meters long and 60 meters wide. The water is warm, crystal clear, blue and green hues. It is shallow to 15 meters inside, where landforms are rocky, like at the ends. Access to Bahia Conejos is by boat from the Santa Cruz beach or on the road to Salina Cruz to the mouth of Copalita, offsetting the ridge on the right, there you can park your car and take a walk one of the paths downhill to reach the beach (5 minutes).

Conejos has a high-end residential gated community which boasts some of the largest and most prestigious residential homes in the area.

Punta Arenas Beach: Approximately 1 kilometer in length and 30-50 metres in width, this beautiful beach boasts white sands and warm blue waters. During the holiday season enjoy freshly caught seafood served by locals.

Arena Beach: It has a length of 500 meters and its width varies between 30 and 40 meters, sand grain size is half white, steep slope. The water is warm and crystalline, has greenish-blue. The surrounding vegetation consists of organs, Cuachalala, Macuil and mangle. The fauna is composed of water birds such as gulls, pelicans, herons, vultures, earwigs and diver ducks, fish such as marlin, sailfish, dorado, tuna, rooster fish. Often and among the forest floor, wild birds are chachalacas andapies, quail, pigeons, tortola.También some species of mammals such as badger, armadillo, skunk, raccoon, porcupine, rabbit, boar, deer and the species endangered species such as iguanas and turtles in the nesting season.

Tejoncito Beach: By its terms, this beach is ideal for lovers of privacy, its length is 75 meters by 20 meters wide, gently sloping. The fine white sand contrasts with the water green and blue hues, which has gentle waves and shallow. In the shore mangrove vegetation predominates and mesquite.
