Home How To Guide How To Get to the Oaxaca Coast How To Get to the Oaxaca Coast Winter Flight Schedule 2023-24 by Brent May September 13, 2023 by Brent May 3.1K If you haven’t gotten your winter tickets, now is the time. To get to the Oaxaca Coast, take a flight to Huatulco or Puerto Escondido. All of the details are here below for this winter’s flight schedule. You can shop flights directly on the airline sites. This is always handier if you need to deal with any changes in your flights before or during your trip. It’s always easier to deal directly with the airline than with an online travel agency (OTA) like Expedia or Orbitz even though they have considerably improved their customer service. Getting to Huatulco (HUX) From Canada, WestJet offers direct flights on Fridays from Toronto starting October 29th, 2023, on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from Calgary starting October 31st, on Thursdays from Edmonton starting November 2nd, and on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from Vancouver starting October 29th, and on Saturdays from Winnipeg starting December 24th. Air Canada offers flights from Toronto on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays starting October 29th. From the U.S., American Airlines flies Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dallas starting November 8th. Volaris may fly Saturdays from Chicago. From SoCal, take the CBX from San Diego to Tijuana and catch a direct flight on Volaris on Monday, Thursday or Saturday. From Mexico City, you’ll find about 10 daily flights into Huatulco. Aeromexico has 3 regular daily flights into Huatulco. VivaAerobus has 2 daily flights. Volaris has flights every day from MEX and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from NLU. MagniCharters has flights 3 times per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Aerotucan has flights from Oaxaca (check their website for schedule). Viva has Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday flights to Monterrey. And Volaris has Thursday and Sunday flights to Tijuana where you can take the Cross Border Express to San Diego. Volaris also has Thursday and Sunday flights to Guadalajara. Getting to Puerto Escondido (PXM) Over 10 regular daily flights into Puerto Escondido from Mexico City are offered: 2 daily flights on Aeromexico, up to 5 daily flights with Volaris, 3 daily flights on VivaAerobus and additional flights on Magni Charters. To get to Puerto Escondido, you can also fly direct to Huatulco and take a taxi or bus to Puerto Escondido. The Highway 200 is 4 lanes for most of the distance now shortening travel time to about 90 minutes. It’s important to note that flight schedules are subject to change and new routes may be added as demand increases. Additionally, it’s always a good idea to check with the airlines directly for the most up-to-date information on schedules and fares.
