Chiles & Chocolate cooking classes offer delicious culinary and cultural experiences that explore a variety of Mexican cuisine. The hands-on classes ensure you will leave prepared to recreate the dishes when you get home. There is no better way to get to know a place than through its food. You will be picked up at 8:30 AM, stop at Café Juanita on your way out of town to grab a quick Grab and Go breakfast. The driving will continue down the windy coastal road to the village of Zimitan. Upon arrival, you will be assigned a station and then you can get cooking with instructions in English. At the end, you will receive a recipe manual and the best part is you get to eat what you cook! At lunch all drinks and food are included. Cooking Classes are 3-4 hours and they vary depending on the day. TUESDAY – Seafood Seafood Fritters with Chipotle Shrimp Tostadas Citrus and Jicama Salad Baked Fish in Hoja Santa Leaf Paloma Cocktail WEDNESDAY – Mama’s Kitchen Oaxacan Black Mole Yellow Mole Served with Rice and Chicken Handmade Tortillas Mezcal Margarita THURSDAY – Pigs and Rum Cochinita Pibil Corn Cakes Pickled Onion and Habanero Avocado Salsa Nopal and Radish Salad Rum Cocktail FRIDAY – Street Food Red and Green Salsas Pico de Gallo Handmade Tortillas and Sopes 2 types of Taco Fillings Tlayudas Jamaica Margaritas *Menus subject to changes depending on ingredient availability. After the class you will be given a gift bag and be transported to your accommodation at roughly 1 PM.
