Home How To Own in Mexico Wine & Dine at Our Top 10 Favourite Huatulco Restaurants (Part II) Wine & Dine at Our Top 10 Favourite Huatulco Restaurants (Part II) by Brent May April 15, 2015 by Brent May 3.4K It’s hard not to come to Huatulco Mexico without falling in love with its yummy cuisine. We should know, we’ve been smitten, bite after bite after delicious bite. So as a follow up to our popular Wine & Dine at Our Top 10 Favourite Huatulco Restaurants, we’re adding a “part dos”. Check out what each has to offer, and once you’re wowed by their specialties, let us know what you think below. The Most Important Meal of the Day La Botanita – If breakfast is on the mind, don’t miss the day-starting goodness of La Botanita. Owned by a husband and wife team from Czechoslovakia, you’ll get a very European twist on local ingredients. We suggest their breakfast bagel with fried egg, avocado, tomato and bacon. Yum! And then you’ve gotta try their chicken baguette. Both are well-matched with La Botanita’s freshly squeezed beet, carrot or green juices. International Café Viena – Austria comes to Huatulco Mexico with Café Viena’s everything-made-from-scratch menu. This fun, open-air restaurant is owned by two Austrians who share the authentic flavors of Beef Stroganoff, Hungarian Goulash and Schnitzel with mushroom gravy, baby potatoes and Huatulco salad. Then finish it all off with warm apple strudel topped with whipped cream and creamy ice cream. Che Dieguito – Calling all meat lovers! This Argentinean eatery will wow you with flavor (and the fired-up grill that greets you as you enter the restaurant). Try their enormous, cooked-to-perfection rib steak, super empanadas, signature burgers and Arrachera. But don’t worry. If you prefer light fare, try Che Dieguito’s delicious salads and chicken entrees. 7 Tavoli La Taverna – Amazing Italian food made by Italians! Need we say more? Our favourite is the Tagliatelle with Porcini Mushrooms. It’s partnered beautifully with one of Tavoli’s great Italian wines. (The incredible marina at sunset views are bonus.) We recommend making a reservation, especially during busy, high season weekends! Burgers, Fries and Shakes…Oh My! Ocean Bar at Cosmo Residences – With juicy hamburgers, cold drink specials and traditional Mexican gotta-haves, who could ask for more?! Oh, wait, their Coconut Shrimp. Yea, that’s the stuff. Ocean Bar at Cosmo Residences will treat you to the best cuisine and a serene panoramic view. Stop by, indulge in a fabulous meal and say “hola” to Ocean Bar’s newest chef. Boston Stk & Shake – This kickin’ hotspot let’s you build your own burger, choose your favourite sides and pick from a TON of milkshakes flavors! Don’t be surprised if your foot starts tappin’ to their fine selection of 50’s music. (And if you’re anything like us, you’ll feel like you’re in Pulp Fiction, getting ready for Jack Rabbit Slim’s Twist Contest!) Sensational Seafood and Sushi Konnichiwa Sushi Bar (Sushi!) – Flavor meets art with this sushi favourite. The Salmón Rolls, Chapulin Sushi, and tempura-style mango in vanilla ice cream are almost too pretty to eat…almost. Konnichiwa Sushi Bar won’t disappoint with its serene atmosphere, personal service, high quality and breathtaking presentation. Restaurant Ve El Mar – If you’re ready for something new, be sure to try Restaurant Ve El Mar. It’s right on the beach (Playa Santa Cruz) so you can get your feet wet while you eat! Fresh shrimp and fish are their specialties. And when partnered with tasty margaritas and cold beers, you’ll have an unforgettable experience! So there you have it, our new string of favourite Huatulco restaurants in Huatulco Mexico! Remember, once you try them, let us know what you thing about the new flavors and experiences.
