One specific investment is the upcoming addition to the Chedraui (Super Che) store and announcement of a new shopping mall and 5 movie theater chain Cinépolis. Considering that Huatulco is a safe place and offers favorable conditions for economic development, Chedraui was awarded 100 million pesos for the expansion of its commercial project and the incorporation of the Cinepolis in this tourist resort. This will be a huge investment in the area and will create approximately 100 new jobs. The company wishes to give the work to Huatulco locals and surrounding communities. Not only will Chedraui be available to those looking for a retail space in the mall and cinemas, but opportunity will be given to local producers to place their perishable products in the store. The extension will see approximately two thousand square meters to the store for a total of just over seven thousand square meters. The project is set for completion in 6 months. It’s Mayor, Dario Pacheco Venegas, said the Chedraui Company confirms that there are adequate conditions for Huatulco investment, and this is combined with a rising tourism promotion. He reiterated that the new business plan of the company recognized encourage the economy and add to the commercial offer attractive destination; “Huatulco is a growing municipality in which investment is encouraged and administrative facilities who are granted trust him,” he said. In Huatulco there are over 2,000 business units. Huatulco continues to be a hub for tourist and economic boom, making it a safe place for tourists and investors.
