She followed up with a fellowship in cataract surgery. Dr. Alberto Abdala Figuerola studied medicine in the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla and ophthalmology also in Instituto Conde de Valencia following up with fellowships in both Mexico and Canada. Dr. Mendoza has been living in Puerto Escondido for about 6 years and Dr. Abdala for about a year. They came to Puerto Escondido for its good vibes, quality of life, cosmopolitan atmosphere and cultural diversity. They were also attracted by the opportunities for their careers in terms of growing both the local technological and health services. Drs. Mendoza and Abdala are skilled at treating a wide variety of eye conditions.
