Dr Isaac Santiago Villa – General Practitioner General Practitioner and Family Doctor Dr. Isaac Santiago Villa is a General Practitioner and Family Doctor. He is available to treat every age from small children through seniors of our area. Examples of his services are primary care, chronic diseases (along with their follow up), and early breast cancer detection. He is able to perform EKG diagnostics and interpret them for heart patients. A general practitioner is trained in a wide range of medicine and medical procedures. A medical specialist or consultant undergoes training in a specific field of medicine. As a general practitioner, Dr. Santiago can help you find the right specialist or treatment for your condition if necessary. And if you need a referral to an expert in another medical field, he will help you with that too. Dr. Santiago studied at Universidad del Noreste (UNE), in Tampico, Tamaulipas in northern Mexico. As a starter on the college’s basketball team, he states he is a proud UNE Jaguar! After his main training, he took courses on Neonatal RCP, early detection of psychiatric emergencies, updates on benign breast pathologies and a preparation course for medicine residency at Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León. He was born in the capital city of Oaxaca de Juarez, but grew up in Huatulco. After finishing high school, Dr. Santiago left to go to Tampico for his professional education. He returned to Huatulco and opened his private practice. The practice is small right now as he continues working in a small village doing community work. But he is hopeful that his practice will expand. Both of his parents and his girlfriend are physicians and they are planning to bring some specialists on board at the clinic in the near future.
