CACALUTA BAY

Cacaluta Bay is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Oaxaca, perfect for enjoying the state while surrounded by a peaceful and paradisiacal environment. It is located seven kilometers north of La Crucecita – which in turn is 30 minutes from Huatulco – offering a secluded corner of magical sunsets and marine richness. Whether you visit Cacaluta or Arroyo – its two beaches – you will have a spectacular experience.

MERMEJITA BEACH

Mermejita is one of the beaches belonging to Mazunte, the first one located west of Punta Cometa and a must for those looking for a quiet and secluded vacation getaway. You can have picnics with the sound of the waves in the background, and if you are lucky you can observe some of the dolphins that frequent its waters; caution is recommended for swimming, as the beach has a strong swells, not suitable for children.

TANGOLUNDA BAY

Located in Huatulco, Tangolunda Bay has some of the best beaches in Oaxaca where you can marvel at the turquoise waters and scenery representative of the Sierra Madre del Sur. This allows visitors to enjoy ocean and mountain activities, such as snorkeling, kayaking and hiking. If you want to take the experience to a more exclusive level, you can stay in one of its luxurious hotels and let yourself be pampered by their service.

SAN AGUSTINILLO

In San Agustinillo you will find a peaceful and solitary beach, located in a small town of the same name and just one kilometer away from Mazunte. Its coasts are long and protected by small islets, with changing waves that sometimes receive local surfers. You can relax and enjoy seafood in its palapas, swim in its waters and snorkel.

CHIPEHUA BEACH

Playa Chipehua is one of Oaxaca’s best kept secrets, a little-visited paradise that hides beautiful golden sands and calm waters. Because it is almost always empty, it is best to visit during high season to take advantage of the palapitas by the beach to drink cold beer, eat seafood and relax carefree.
